Kirk’s Enterprise

Charlie Kirk’s

horrific demise

as he pursued

his enterprise

as a conservative force

through

political discourse,

should be

our turning point,

USA.

This school shooting,

unlike the other,

was political;

an intentional

act of violence

to silence

debate-

the latest

in a spate

of hate

crimes

against

political

figures.

The triggers

may be

multiple

but when

the political

is emotional

and what

seemed

impossible

is no longer

notional,

anything

becomes

motivational

against

a perceived

enemy.

Because

the hate

is visceral

when our

discourse

is so

uncivil,

we can’t be

casual

about this

hit,

especially when

it

took place

on a college

campus.

Now

most of us

can feel

the real

pain and sorrow

for his widow

and his children.

But can we

mourn for

a person

who sparked

attention

for opposition

that may

have intended

to provoke

and offend

if not

upend,

the woke

when he spoke?

I am chilled

by the blood

that’s been

spilled,

and I feel

my own

turning point.

Our enterprise

can’t be

the demise

of opposing

another’s belief.

Let this

monstrous

event

help us

to reinvent

good grief.

I just realized

that today

is 9/11.

What

have we

become?

To boldly go

where no

one

has gone

before

was the American

enterprise

(cleverly

stated in

the Star Trek

franchise),

at the birth

of our

democratic

republic.

But we have

succumbed

to hate

and fear

that we’re

in our

final frontier.

Our reaction

to terror

is often

contraction,

while

heightening

security.

But political

(and social)

purity

is immaturity,

not worthy

of who we

need to be.

Reigning Cats and Dogs

First

and foremost,

I confess,

for most

of prime

time,

I did my

best

not to watch

the no contest

debate.

There was

punditry

aplenty

that provided me

with clips

to witness

after the fact

the exact

statements

and expressions,

deflections

and projections

and the take away

lines

of the day.

Generally,

debates

have been pivotal

based on demeanor

and/or

zinger.

Whether

one contender

seemed under

the weather

or better

than the other

being funnier,

what sticks out

as significant

is the participant

who introduced

something

not yet

seen or heard.

As though

it couldn’t get

more absurd,

the bit about

eating pets,

specifically

dogs and cats,

is not only

not sticking

to

the facts,

but a weird

intention

to make

some connection

to immigration.

Seriously?

But Trump

saw it on

tv,

so, you know

it bears repeating.

From JD Vance’s

cat lady stances

to his latest,

pet feast lie,

the tales

of dogs and cats

pales,

of course

to the course

they endorse

if elected.

Taylor’s Swift’s

swift response,

posing with her cat,

reins supreme

as an important

endorsement

by a celebrity

for the apprentice,

VP Harris.

But if any of this

has any meaning,

the screening

must lead to

more action.

The crazy distraction

of cats

and angry,

childless cat ladies,

is somehow their

weird attraction.

But thwarting

Trump before

and after

the election,

when he contests

the contest,

requires preparation

which means

your donation

to efforts to suppress

his suppression.

Your contribution

will ensure

distribution

of enough people

to assist

and ensure

that democracy

is fully restored

and rights protected

from the demented

fantasy flights

and cat fights

that will surely

reign,

while he will feign

the victim.

If today’s date,

September 11th,

is to resonate

it must be

to secure

democracy

from the reign

of terror

foreign

and domestic,

no longer foreign

to us.

Don’t just shop.

Stop Trump.

Help protect

the electorate,

before, during,

and after

this November.

On Mute

Lips

connect us;

the nexus

of affection

and expression

of language

heard-

absurd,

or credible.

Sound

can be

found

watching

lip movement;

an improvement

on mere

voice.

Now

the choice

whether

to mute

the debaters’

mikes

might

make

or break

the date

to debate.

This was,

of course,

expected

as a matter

of course

directed

by

the guy

whose

Big Lie

will

be bigger

this time

around.

Cutting

the sound

during

the opponent’s

round

was actually

found

to help

him.

Less taunting,

sure,

but more

beneficial

for his

official

standing

lure

is

that

less

is more.

He gets

distracted

and is too

attracted

to the sound

of his own

airing.

It’s too

waring

to

hear

year

after

year

much less

anything

to adhere

to.

His own

crew

wants

him on

mute,

but now

he’ll dispute

the rules.

An excuse

at hand

to not

withstand

the shame

of losing

any game.

Muting

Trump

is the whole

goal

of this

election.

He’s a mutation

in our politics;

a mix

of fraud

and assault.

Now he’s

caught,

and fraught

with fear

wanting

to appear

unchallenged.

He’s

a mutant

strain

of ranting;

planting

seeds of

outrage

on stage

and posts.

He’s a variant

of the worst

we’ve seen;

a deviant,

no less.

Would muting

the mutant,

impudent,

deviant,

variant

be more

expedient

and thereby

more

decisive

than

when

his divisive,

pathetic

rhetoric

is too

much

for most

to endure?

The sure

fact

is that

he needed

a reason

to bow

out

of debate

season.

When his

sound

is on

he sounds

off

and sounds

quite off

his rocker.

Meanwhile,

the sound

of Madame

President

is resonant

with excitement

as he plans

his incitement

to rock

her.

He’s losing

ground

and his

once sound

intention

to interfere

with

the election

sounds

familiar.

There’s no

real debate

about

the need

to mute

the mutant

deviant

variant,

if you’re

a democratic

patriot

of the

American

republic.

Patriot Acts

“I know how

to tell

the truth,”

declared

the POTUS

the day after

the rest of us

saw

he couldn’t claw

his way out

of a debate

with a liar

lying

about

everything.

Telling

the truth

for the uncouth

MAGA man

is seen

in the ways

he conveys

fears and aches.

The stakes

being grilled

have filled

our capacity

on this anniversary

of America.

Patriotism

on display

today,

waiving in

red, white,

and blue,

hate and fear

is still clear

while professing

love

for America

above everything

except embryos.

I chose

anniversary

instead of birthday

because a union

was created

and debated

since 1776.

America

is not

biological;

it’s philosophical

and ideological,

though sometimes

with

the logical part

missing.

We are all

patriots today,

celebrating

this anniversary

of possibility

for humanity

to live decently

in democracy,

once

associated

with liberty

and justice

for all.

Truth

has been

spinning

for winning

elections.

But reflections

of  acts

of patriotism

reveal

less cynicism

and criticism

than truism,

until the era

of MAGA.

Now,

truth telling

is telling.

Claiming

to be

a patriot

with mendacity

and audacity

to blatantly

lie

is the truth

this

4th of July

of one party

claiming

the future.

The truth

is grim,

but patriotism

for US

has meant

a system

dependent

upon

truth

and accountability.

A patriot

acts

for

a more

perfect union,

not for

a savior

or

not with

a diety

but with

democracy,

where

the truth

is not easy

to accept.

Energy Crisis

I couldn’t watch.

I wouldn’t watch.

Governance

is not

a debate.

Yet our

tradition

of performance

of endurance

to provide

assurance

is the substance

we use

to  choose

the POTUS.

By all

mounting

accounting

in real

time

and thereafter,

I glimpsed

the sad

theater

of our absurd

election.

A weak-

voiced

Joe

seeming

slow

against

each

blow

no matter

how false

the statement,

was a statement

of fitness

to those

who witnessed

what should

never

have taken

place.

Sad

to say

that the

job

at bay

is partially

appearance.

The grievance

guy

with

each lie

conveys

energy.

He may

be cruel

but his

fuel

is addictive

despite

being

convicted

so far,

34 times.

We are

addicted

to energy

at all

costs.

But

thoughts

of being

slow,

embodied

by Joe,

are dreadful.

Last century’s

model

seems

on the way

out,

as autocrats

plow through.

But

dictators

playing

orators

is also

old

while selling

retold

as something

new—

or at least,

something

strong.

A power

fueled

by desperation

supported

by

exasperation,

cannot

trump

our democracy.

This is crazy.

Alternative

energy

seems necessary

now

more than

ever,

while

voters

still

have power.
