Who’s Your Daddy?

EEEWWWWWW!!!

It never occurred

to me

that JD

could be

out-creeped

by any peep,

but alas,

the ginormous ass

Tucker,

that Mother

F-(rhymes with Tucker),

actually

compared a family

dynamic

(that in the Menendez

home

became tragic)

to our national

politic.

“There has to be

a point at which

Dad comes home.”

“…you know what

he says? You’ve

been a bad little

girl

and you’re getting

a vigorous spanking

right now.”

He continued

his tale

of the ultimate

male

behavior as

somehow

the savior

of the American

family

by punishing

THE BAD
GIRL,

who would be

the rest of the

country.

There’s much

to unpack

in this brand

spanking

new view

of the old

guard.

For many,

any

insult

from the

cult

of MAGA

is the result

of a drama

between

masculine

and feminine,

in a particular

play

performed

a certain

way,

except

if born

otherwise,

or seen

as a

disguise

from

some ideal

gender

form.

The threats

seem to

be most

offensive

when a male

adopts

culturally

female

props

and dispositions,

with little

care

for the reverse,

other than

regarding

as perverse,

in their

perverted

ethos.

So little girls

and child bearing

age

young women,

and women

post-menopause

are somehow

the cause

of the hell-scape

where

the only

escape

is violent

punishment

or imprisonment?

Other than

the immigrant,

of course,

the (liberated) female

is the source

of problems.

No need

to make

room

for Daddy’s

protection

or direction.

This election

could be

an inflection

in our democracy.

Remember

Puff Daddy

who became

P. Diddy,

then

DIddy,

now back to

Sean Combs,

now

awaiting trial

for sexual

assault?

Me too.

So few

women

have proven

to actually

be

as problematic

compared to

the autocratic,

fascistic

tendency

in the patriarchy

that gives

the finger

to Lady Liberty.

I am not

worried

that Daddy’s

coming home.

I think

the chickens

will.

In General

Old news

by an old

and obtuse

loser

afraid he’ll

lose his

freedom

in this general

election,

has surfaced

anew.

We knew

who

Trump was

then and now,

but the wow

factor

from the now

detractor,

General John F Kelly,

longest serving

Chief of Staff

of the nutty

former POTUS,

informed us

that Trump

is actually

a fascist.

Well,

duh.

He relayed

a conversation

once (or more)

that he had had

with the cad, boar, bore,

lunatic galore,

when the POTUS
said he wanted

“the kind

of generals

that Hitler had”.

It’s terribly

sad

that such

stupidity

has such

a hold

on much

of the country.

See,

I know

what Trump

was saying

or conveying.

He wants

passionate

loyalty,

except

that because

he is so

ignorant

he doesn’t know

what’s significant

beyond some

fantasy

of masculinity

and being

the one

most dominant.

Hitler’s generals

tried to kill him.

That’s not

the part Trump

knows ,

so he crows

about strength

at length

(and about length

width and girth,

for what it’s

worth—

although

that was about

Arnold Palmer).

Trump’s

suggestions

and digressions

and incessant

transgressions

too many to

mention,

are somehow

not costing

him

anything.

In general,

that’s his

modus

operandi,

which comes

in handy,

with folks

who are like

him.

Any whim

won’t cost

him

this general

election,

if in fact

facts

don’t matter.

What’s the

matter with

us?

When feelings

trump

facts,

validation

is for ego,

not proof

of truth.

To forgo

actuality

for fantasy

is actually

crazy

(and lazy

and stupid).

Confusing

“authenticity”

with freedom,

cruelty

with manifest

destiny,

and chaos

as a strategy

is certainly

a crowd

pleaser.

It’s easier

to rant

and chant

than  work.

But the jerk

is incessant

and will

demand to be

President

no matter

what happens

in the general

election.

But we can

all help

not just

by voting,

but also

promoting

and supporting

other races,

and efforts

to undermine

our longtime

system

that generally

worked for

progress

and equality,

decency

and democracy.

Specifically,

there’s much

more to do,

but

in general,

we need you.

Faux Finish

Forgive my French

terminology

while exploring

the psychology

of the art of

trompe l’oeil

(sounds like

Trump Ploy).

It’s a trick

of perception;

a bit

of deception

with the intention

of confusion.

The illusion

comes from

the tension

between

what is real

and what isn’t,

always drawing

attention

to it’s own

chicanery.

Architecturally,

creating 3-D

interiorly,

painting

faux columns

or walls

may not be

exactly

high art.

But faux

finishes

are part

of the art

of deception,

challenging

perception.

Ah….

Voila!

The Trump Ploy

to destroy

includes

not just

enemies

within

his mind,

but the behind

the scene

design

of a faux

finish.

It will likely

not end

in a couple

of weeks

as he seeks

to paint

objects

as real

and appeal

any objection.

As this election

is his deflection

from crimes

and accountability,

in addition

to voting,

join me

in promoting

democracydocket.com.

Voting rights

and election

litigation

shaping democratic

institutions

should not

be illusions.

Help defeat

the delusions

of the faux finish.

DJ Trump

From town hall

to dance hall

in a half hour,

the usually dour

former guy,

seemingly

on the fly,

had enough

questions.

So,

he made

the suggestions

to listen to music

and dance.

Well, more like sway

to the gay

anthem

YMCA,

as what was

a rally

was actually

ummm…..

weird.

He faced his small

crowd

and the usually

loud

Donald J

just let the tunes

play

as he pumped

his fist

to his

playlist

while everyone

stood

(if they still

could).

He’s gone

from The Donald

to Trump

to DJ

ready to play

his favorite

tunes.

He ruins

everything

else

anyway,

so maybe

he’s trying

a new

gig

while he

attempts

to rig

this election.

If NFTs,

a bible,

or golden

sneaks

don’t peak

your interest,

perhaps

the DJ

playlist

will enlist

your vote?

The chance

is remote,

so why campaign

when the inane

shtick

will always

stick

where needed?

He’s the DJ

spinning

his music

a new trick,

and surprise

from spinning

his lies,

but I surmise

he’s tired.

This DJ

move

may prove

to be

a momentary

side show.

But know

that it’s real

that he’s

trying to

steal

this election.

Will the DJ

Trump

continue

to stump

as he sets

the record

for the lowest

of the low?

He’s losing

his mojo

as he plays

his hits

and sits

back

while his

attack

dogs

are salivating;

navigating

law suits

to mount

and a false

count–

anything

preventing

his actual

winning.

The DJ

is spinning

inside

out

with the only

route

he has

left.

Controlling the Whether

The ubiquitous

pronoun

“they”

is used

to convey

gender fluidity

and conspiracy

leaving a question

of plurality

of the situation

discussed.

Never one

to be on

the fence,

MTG,

who represents

Georgia constituents,

presents

crazy (and stupid)

statements

like:

“they control

the weather”.

Who are the

they

to whom

she refers?

She prefers

the pronoun

to keep it

nebulous,

never mind

incredulous,

that any

entity

or group

could recoup

the weather.

But when

I hear

“they control”

I cringe

at the trolls

knowing

who

they mean

to say

when they

say “they”.

But her pretense

made even

less sense

than earlier

comments,

yet

she stirred

the muck

sufficiently.

All there is

to control

is whether

we go down

the rabbit

hole

and lose

our souls

in the process.

Controlling

the whether

or not

we feed

the beast

is the least

we can do.

A New Habit for Humanity

I endured hurricanes

and horrible rains

for many, many years.

But the fears

I have

from my

current perch

as Helene

then Milton

top the Google

search

before,

during,

and after

landfall,

all

point to

whether

we will

whether

the weather

together.

It feels

surreal

to witness

such storms

over

and over

and over

and over

without

pleas

for policies

for these

emergencies

that are crises

each week.

We used

to seek

solutions

for pollution

and violence,

the environment,

and toxic waste.

But our taste

has changed

for the worse;

and our climate

has changed

for the worse.

We are so blind

and unkind

to our world.

But I know you

would do

something

if you

could,

and you should,

so would

you…?

go to

https://www.climateactionnow.com/

I thank you

in advance

for taking

a chance

with me

to enhance

your citizenry

and get

opportunities

to support

policies

to mitigate

the climate emergency

we are ALL

in.

There is no

climate

haven

now,

but there

are solutions

for how

to mitigate

the worst

effects.

So many

facets

to our

climate

problems,

from clothing

to agriculture

to fossil fuels

to our plastic

culture;

carbon capture,

and diet shifts

among

other pivots

are available.

Disaster relief

won’t dismantle

the belief

that we

don’t need

to change

course.

This is

the time,

so grab

it:

A new habit

for humanity

to live

more environmentally

sustainably.

October Surprise

What I have

to say

today

yields

no consequence

for the remembrance

of this date.

October 7th,

Israel’s

September 11th

may become

this year’s

October surprise

if Israel

or Iran

tries

to directly engage

and set

the stage

for

an all out

war

once again

drawing US in,

and likely

most

of the world.

But what unfurled

on this date

last year

was clear

to me,

beyond atrocity,

a sick strategy

by Hamas.

Each hostage

and

the endless

carnage

in the wake

of the break

of humanity,

is a calamity

for generations

whose innovations

will be weapons

of mass destruction.

Ancient tactics

of barbaric assault

ought

to remind us

and caution us

that this

battle for

a piece

of land

is not a battle

for peace.

Framed as

freedom

from oppression

the lesson

is…..

never learned

or retained.

Hostages

have remained

in captivity

for a year’s

eternity

while a nation

traumatized

and fighting

two fronts

still hunts

for the bodies

taken.

And Hamas’

indifference

to the significance

of innocence

in Gaza

is matched

by Hezbollah

in Lebanon.

Non-state actors

are key

factors

maintaining

the state

of statelessness

with relentless

terror.

But Israel’s

prime minister,

past his prime,

is oh so

sinister.

He’d rather

hold power

at all costs.

Watching atrocities

in the name

of the state

create

starvation

and destruction

beyond comprehension

has caused suspension

of my belief

in what

I thought

would be

a unique

democracy.

It’s no longer

home

away from home

or a friend

to defend

without question

and hasn’t been

for a generation.

October 7th

last year

was a Saturday;

a sabbath day

to relax.

The attacks

and lives taken

still leave me

shaken,

and what enfolded

has emboldened

the anti,

as the ante

is upped weekly

in this most

deadly

conflict

inflicted

today.

If I knew

how to pray

I’d say,

“Please release

them

from this mayhem

and help us

help them

to live in freedom.

Amen.”

“Oh…

and help

us pursue

peace

and dignity

for all humanity;

help us to

save democracy.”

Israel-Palestine

may never

combine,

but I’m certainly

not opposed.

It seems

as unlikely

a prospect

could be,

but I thought

that I’d never

see

an end

to

The Troubles

in Ireland,

or The Berlin Wall

or smoking.

Will that October

surprise

be the beginning

of the end

or the end

of the beginning?

It doesn’t feel

like

The Hope

anthem

or ransom.

Just a year

of hell

that won’t end

well.

Trump’s Helene

The next Helene

won’t be seen

on doplar

or radar,

though more

storms

are in store

for sure.

Our climate

has changed

to an environment

estranged

from sustained

productivity

and health.

The VP

debate

will not

indicate

much that

we don’t

yet know.

Hungry

for power,

angry,

and dour,

Vance

will provide

snickers

for the other

boot lickers

as Walz’s

smile

that extends

a mile

will soften

his more

serious

side.

But don’t

be fooled

by the

ghoulish

tool

who’s

willing to

stand

in the eye

for the guy

who wants

to be

a Helene.

Flooding

with bluster,

creating

disaster,

devastating

what was

once

thought secure,

he’s sure

of his ability

to evade

responsibility

and focus

on a specific

path.

Disaster relief

will require

belief

that civic

action

matters.

Tonight’s

midwest

contest

for best

vice

may entice

a few,

but the top

two

is only part

of the crew

to pay

attention

to.

From school

boards

to courts

and of course

senate

races,

down ballot

places

are essential.

The potential

to mitigate

the next Helene

may not mean

eradicating

storms.

But new norms

and laws

that prevent

descent

into chaos

are up to us

to elect

those who

represent

the majority

whose

priority

is democracy.

Wearing Protection

The incel

in distress

gave an address

at a rally

where his

success

is based

on protection.

I know

it’s exhausting

and costing

us

too much,

but such

idiocy

and hypocrisy

will always be

counter

to progress,

much less

security.

And he’s

still a ridiculous

threat

to be taken

seriously.

The involuntary

celibate

celebrates

a masculinity

that is

abundantly

toxic.

And those

who are

satisfied

with their

stride

(or hide

their shame

and enjoy

the blame

game)

somehow

or other

feel

power

in their

projection

of the need

for protection.

Trump

has always

been protected

and protects

no one,

of course,

but Trump.

And on

the stump

he told women

he’ll “be

your protector”

and they will

“no longer be

thinking about

abortion”

if he’s elected

in November.

First of all,

EEEEEEWWWWWW.

The Chief Creep

in deep

doo-doo

wants you

(whoever you

are

if you are

in his

audience)

to protect him.

He’s protected

by money

and cheating

which he calls

winning.

So changing

the rules

at the 5 yard

line,

and changing

the refs

and point

values,

is clever

though never

done

by decent

people.

If you can’t

beat ‘em,

cheat ‘em.

And in another

lame

attempt

with contempt

toward women,

Bernie Moreno

senate

candidate

in Ohio,

amused that

abortion isn’t

an issue

for women

past 50:
“It’s a little crazy

by the way,

but—

especially

for women

that are like

past 50.”

(heheheheheh…

because,

who cares,

if you can’t

get pregnant?)

It all sounds

too dumb

that we

become numb,

but I ask you

not to succumb

to weariness

and to do

something

instead.

Go ahead

and go to

app.oath.vote

to maximize

your impact

and protect

what matters

most

for us.

I don’t get

anything

from this

suggestion

other than

protection

from what

used to be

the GOP.

All this is tiring,

I know,

but wearing

us down

is what

that sick clown

has to offer.

Disseminating

your contribution

all at once

to the races

most impacted

is a practical

and tactical

way

to responsibly

counter

their endlessly

offensive

and dangerous

attempts

to over

power.

Check out

https://app.oath.vote/set?p=top-issues

and give

what you can.

They’ll

need more

protection

than

they think.

Down The Escalator

Going down

that escalator

path

of wrath

for

more

than three

races,

he faces

his face

downward

or straight

with hate

and a spate

of lies—

not falsehoods

or inaccuracies—

but strategies

to change

the conversation

from observation

to obfuscation

and creating

doubt.

He is uninhibited

with his unlimited

attempt

to stir contempt

while we wait

for him

and them

to hit bottom.

Infinity

is not divinity.

It is endless

mess

that humans

address

throughout

history.

We think

we

know now

how

and why

and so

deny

that humans

will always

try

to win.

Actual success

reveals

progress,

which to me

feels

like liberation.

Freedom from

oppression

and freedom

to pursue

without

harm,

a charming

thought

that ought

to be

easy

in a democracy,

but we know

it’s not so.

Of course

definitions

in opposition

make interpretation

a contest.

But why debate

when it’s

so easy

to escalate

hate

going

ever

lower?

Taking down

The Escalator

means taking

The Elevator

up to

new

heights.

It’s in our

sights,

despite

the polls

and trolls.

The Escalators

are always

brought down

by taking

The Elevators

up.

The Elevator

defies

gravity,

and denies

the depravity

that The Escalator

exudes.

Choose

the Elevator.

The Escalator

must lose

or he’ll

abuse

what he can

taking us down

with him.

(** I know

I’ve used

this metaphor

of The Escalator

before,

but now’s

the time

for action.

Elevate

your conversation,

participation,

and donation

in preparation

for election day.)
