Peace On Earth

When we

use

Chat GPT

for every

inquiry,

will we

lose

the ability

to be

completely

human?

Currently,

when I see

a response

AI generated,

I’m fascinated

and disappointed.

It’s amazingly

quick

like some

magic trick,

but it’s

slick

with questionable

depth

and accuracy.

Like the Tree

of Knowledge

with forbidden

fruit,

Apple

and Google

and each brand

of bot

will not

bring forth

some Eden.

Even

if the uses

for science

and each

new appliance

will allow

us to save

lives

and time,

what else

is lost?

And what’s

the true

cost

of being

bossed

by

AI?

Vince Gilligan’s

newest

creation,

“Pluribus”

asks us

to imagine

a virus

that causes

kindness

and a singular

mind.

From many,

one;

except for

one

in New

Mexico,

and 11 more

scattered

around

the world.

The dozen

individuals,

ordinary

kinds,

possess

their own

minds.

The rest

of the world

shares

one

of a kind;

sharing

one mind

and emotion.

Life

on earth

feels flat

and lifeless,

despite

access

to all

and peace.

The inquiry

that is asked

of us

watching

“Pluribus”

is

what is

humanity?

Like the Garden

of Eden,

such paradise

may entice

at first

glance.

What would

make one

so averse

to a universe

of Peace

on Earth

and goodwill

to all men?

Well,

for one,

a woman.

The protagonist

in this

limited series

wants

the world

the way

it was.

Because

she desperately

wants

to preserve

humanity,

she

rejects

the simplicity

of complicity

with these

nice zombies.

Interestingly,

we get to see

peace

on earth

without love.

And maybe

that’s the message.

Love

is not

essential

to peace,

but it is

essential

for the potential

of humanity.

I wish

joy

to the world

and peace

on earth,

with love

MSG

In The Garden,

The Paradise

lost,

the cost

of democracy

too great,

hate

was cherished

as the climate

perished;

slashing

and burning

while feeding

the yearning

for owning

the Libs.

And the actual

owners

of the factual

papers

in DC

and LA

chose not

to say

whom they

endorse-

another coarse

event

in this course

of events:

a course

on what

prevents

democracies

from thriving.

The striving,

conniving,

and disdain

reign

freely,

while the wealthy-

greedy

are the most

needy

in their

reality.

The love

of fear,

hate,

and retribution

was considered

contribution

in The Garden

event.

I’m spent,

yet must

invent

ways

to circumvent

the craze

over the next

several

days,

and the after-

math,

despite

the math,

of election night.

It’s the fright

in sight,

or that

I can

envision,

that the division

so heinous

and obvious

that the rest

of us

feel helpless

after

having voted,

is like

living

inside

a loaded

gun.

But that’s

what’s

fun

if you’re

one

of the MAGA

dramarama.

The MSG
was hopefully

too hyper

tensive

and unhealthy

for a majority

of Americans.

The shenanigans

are still

serious,

as those

delirious

pursue

the view

that a new

America

is overdue,

which looks

white

and pregnant.

None of it

is funny

or sunny

in that

Garden

of evil

that they

say is

good.

But we

should not

let their love

of fear

be ours too.

The MSG
additive,

so addictive,

is the loathing

and fear

and simple

smear

that requires

merely

hate.

I will not

satiate

myself

with bottom

shelf

MSG

only

to feel

hungry

for more.

The legacy

you leave

is not

your blame,

but your

love

and care;

and that

you dared

to not

despair,

but insist

we repair

with love

above

all else.

What the World Needs Now

I used

to think

Cupid

was

stupid;

a mascot

tot

projectiling

weapons

to pierce

hearts.

A day

of

forced

“love”,

I thought,

was

a good

excuse

for selling

stuff.

But in

the name

of love,

I too

celebrate,

reminding

myself

to pay

attention,

and return

to my senses,

especially

mid

winter.

Intimacy

requires

nurturing

(today,

ironically

by a baby).

The kids

remind us

of what

matters:

love.

We inherit

conventions

that we get

to rethink:

I quote

here

the wikipedia

definition

of arrow:

“A typical

arrow

usually consists

of a long,

stiff,

straight

shaft

with a weighty

arrowhead

attached

to the front end.”

“A container

or bag

carrying

additional

arrows

for convenient

reloading

is called

a quiver.”

Love

is not

forced.

But it is

a force

we must

reckon

with

as we

remember

it’s power

to bring

forth

new life.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
