approval.

Still,

money spent

is acknowledgement

and a willingness

to abide

on the side

of what

money will

buy.

Just look

at the guy

who will try

to get

in bed

with any

(and every)

naughty

Saudi.

But back

to Marjorie,

who can

see

with

laser-like

efficiency

the value

of the spotlight.

She just might

be

the perfect

thorn

as she persists

her endless

scorn

with seeming

righteousness

against the hideousness

of the monstrousness

of sexual predatory

behavior.

Once her enabler,

he’d now like

to disable her,

but Marjorie

Taylor

sees GREEN.

tricked

into believing

it’s the price

we pay

to have

representational

with the hope

that this

will conclude

any day

But how

will those

who need

to feed

their own

manage

without

the advantage

the wealthy

maintain?

Once

the pain

ensues,

then Trump

will choose

to pull

back.

This attack

and retreat

before full

defeat

is the Trump-

MAGA trap

we’re in.

But who

will snap

from all

this crap?

And when

will Congress

snap out

of it?

A military

career

in the rear

view,

before we

knew

his name,

now known

as secretary

and very

outspoken,

he faces

a daunting

situation.

And speaking

of faces,

he’s a good

looking guy,

which helps

him to buy

good will.

He also

embodies

and represents

the epitome

of that

which his

party

presents

(or he thinks

it should).

If only

he could

get

the attention

of

the party

heads

for the next

convention.

He’s often

on Fox

and does

TikToks,

for those

who can’t

get enough.

Political

relevance

need not

mean eloquence;

just ask

the Secretary

of Defense

or

of War.

To compete

with Pete

is replete

with the feat

of winning

hearts and minds.

The kinds

of sound bytes

that fight

for the right

to and for

democratic

infrastructure

is keeping

the former

mayor

secretary

very

engaged

and prominent.

Will he

be

dominent?

It remains

to be seen,

but to unseat

one Pete

will be a treat

for the

other one

and confirmation

of our country’s

direction.

Carr Alarm

The noise

around

silencing speech

may reach

a tipping

point.

The joint

astonishment

and grief

may be

brief

as the next

one to fall

will call

our attention.

While there’s

no comparison

between the firing

of a comedian,

or two,

and the firing

of a gun,

we can’t run

from this

crisis.

Opinion

has been

the dominion

of the comedian,

even mocking

the politician.

It’s free speech

in action

and a cultural

tradition.

But the addition

of retribution

to our polity-

once

the contribution

only

of the most

violently

disturbed-

comes from

the top guy,

perpetually

perturbed.

The Federal

Communications

Commision

is now

on a mission

to stifle.

Instead of

a rifle,

or other

violence,

the way

to silence

criticisms

is to fire

the guys

whose

wittisms

are bothersome

to some;

or maybe

just

to one.

in reaction

to the comic’s

wit,

is every bit

a lack of

grit

and merely

a fit

of alarm

of the president

who sees

speech

as harm

and uses

to harm others.

The saga

and you

unsealed.

He’s concealed

his perversions

of laws and norms

and forms

tales—

ok, lies—

on a whim.

harm him

the most?

I’m curious

to know

what reality

will show.

This might

be the most

watched episode

yet.

A Classless Society

A decade ago,

when Trump

made a go

at politics,

the heretics

rose

to close

the deal

to reveal

the fault

lines

beneath us.

It’s been

everyone

else’s fault

since then;

never

a mia

culpa.

A witch hunt,

political stunt,

or cries

of lies

no matter

how it defies,

now

no surprise;

Nonetheless appalling.

The most

galling

is no longer

name

calling.

It’s to be

expected.

Protected

speech,

unless you

teach

or learn

about

oppression,

is a matter

of opinion.

The dominion

over everything

that power

and money

can possibly

bring

is ushering

in

autocracy

in a now

crass

and classless

society.

I don’t

mean

the kind

that Bernie

and A.O.C.

have

in mind,

but the

cheap

and tasteless,

undignified,

rapacious,

Trump

brand

that his

command

has forced

us to

withstand.

Checking

privilege

and elitism

is unfolding

into quite

a schism

suggesting

that the

evolution

of civilization

has been

a hoax,

folks.

Proof

that money

can’t by

class,

the ass

in chief,

like a thief,

takes

whatever

he wants.

His taunts,

now dangerous,

and increasingly

outrageous,

threatening

to deport

citizens

after the precedents

of sending

legal residents

to Salvadoran

and Libyan

prisons.

The callousness

of this classlessness

as with everything

else he says

and does

does

harm

to all of us.

Our classless

society

with faux

piety,

now run

as an

oligarchy

with remnants

of democracy,

can’t wait

for half

to discover

decency.

This is an

emergency.

This class

is pass/

fail.

Bearing the Bull

It’s no surprise

that the handsy

guys,

now the most

powerful

in the world,

assume that

ties and lies

are part of

enterprise,

and the skies

are not even

the limit.

They scoff

at “Hands Off”

protests

in each state,

recklessly

wrecking

the economy

globally,

and honestly,

I have no

idea why,

other than

retribution.

I don’t get

the vision

for this nutty

tariff decision

other than

incomprehension

of the value

of trade.

Afraid

of not being

the ultimate,

or being

in proximate

company

to the

most wealthy,

he writes

his history,

now ours.

His bull

unending,

pretending

to know

everything

or nothing,

depending

on the situation;

his solution-

“an economic

revolution”-

will leave

people

barely

able to

bear

the bear market.

His target

is anything

and anyone

he perceives

as having been

or could be

a threat.

Most remarkable

yet,

are those

still willing

to abide

the chilling

destructiveness

and bear

the bull

of “success”.

is expressly

unconstitutional.

But in

the delusional

MAGA world

where

executive orders,

closed

borders,

billionaire

hoarders,

and a propensity

to support

Putin

rather than

Zelensky,

they want

to undo

what took

80 years

to build.

for power,

they must

also feed

their incessant

greed,

apparently

at ludicrous

speed.

And who will

read

the news

anyway?

is Trump’s

encasement,

and in case

you missed

the chainsaw

massacre

that says

Lack

is nothing

new

for this

wrecking

crew,

head

prefers

instead

to suggest

ring

to it.

And the left

goes wild

when the

are the most

inflammatory,

which he

regards

as congratulatory.

At least

don’t feed

Anyway,

he’s more

like an

emperor

than like

a king,

seeking

to acquire

an empire

with Greenland

and Canada,

and possibly

Panama.

rests in distorting.

threatened

orders.

In the corridors

of religion

her decision

to confront

the affront

to decency,

magnificently

reflected

with clarity

the necessity

of and for

dignity,

honesty,

and humanity.

Obviously

aggrieved,

Vance

shook his head,

disagreed,

as his boss,

ever

resentful

and always

peeved,

later

demanded

an apology.

Christian

conviction

finally

gave voice

when Trump

had no

choice

but

to hear

her

(and our) prayer.

His greatest

care

was being

dissed,

his ring

not kissed,

and boy,

was he

PISSED!

Also amidst

the insanity

that is officially

this presidency

the “MAGA GRANNY”,

as she

has been

dubbed,

snubbed

the president

and his pardon,

speaking

truth

to power.

A rioter

on 1/6/21

she received

a pardon

for her conviction

after serving

60 days

behind

bars.

Pamela Hemphill

has endured

the horrible,

after suggesting

that Trump

is a criminal.

She admitted

she committed

a misdemeanor

to which

she plead

guilty.

She served

her time

for her crime,

and now

suggests

she was

gaslit.

She thought

she knew

what was

true,

until

she broke

from groupthink.

Out from

the clink

she warned

others

not to drink

the Koolaid.

Unafraid,

she shared

her story

and continues

to face

the daily

onslaught

of anger.

The real

danger

to Trump

and MAGA
is truth

and authenticity,

and the critically

powerful

women

unofficially

(politically speaking)

speaking out.

No doubt,

they and others

will receive

threats

or tests.

They spoke

the truth

and invoked

a spark

of inspiration.

This administration

will fail,

because truth

will prevail

even when

hushed

or temporarily

crushed.

(Even in Russia!)

Just remember:

His Truth is Marching On

The Golden Age

of guiltless

gilt

is again

the rage

as the pendulum

tilts

away from

moderation.

The pull

of bull*#@!

and excess

never felt less

tension

in an ongoing

extension,

despite apprehension,

of our historical

monarchical

attraction.

It’s the trappings

and happenings

of power

and endless

stuff

that make

it so easy

to declare,

“enough

with compromise!

Super size

me!”

More

is better.

Greed is

good.

Look

what’s

happened

to

the neighborhood.

Intrinsic

to our politics

and capitalistic

society,

is all consuming

consuming

all

mixed with

hypocritical

piety.

It always

feels worse,

this curse

of ours,

wanting

more

to store

or spend

at the expense

of innocence.

Alongside

the tide

of excessive

pride

and greed

is our

profound

need

for individual

priority.

And now

notoriety

is an identity

politics

crisis.

Attempts

at opportunity

for historically

oppressed

minority

communities,

is seen

as threatening

the integrity

of the

majority

impending minority.

And how

best

to best

the rest

of us?

Outrage

us

with outrageousness

and muss

with the truth

regardless.

Some youth

know this;

others don’t

access

facts,

much less

analysis.

And as youth

would

have it,

an easy

fix

is to nix

what’s been

and fall

in line

with rebellion.

Anger

is simple

and made

pure

by

being sure

of owning

the truth.

Maybe

it’s not

youth

so much

as the immature

who wield

such power,

led

by that

towering

inferno.

Battle him!

For the sake

of the republic!

Remaining

democratic

is not automatic.

It requires

an all hands

on deck.
